The sultan of Sokoto direct the Muslims ummah in the country to look out for the crescent Moon of Shawwal 1443 after Hijira in Saturday equivalent to 30th of April 2022.
This contain in a statement signed by the chairman of the advisory committee on religion affairs sultanate council and Wazirin Sokoto Prof. Sambo wali Junaidu.
Prof. Junaidu say if the moon is sighted the information should be forwarded to the nearest district head or village head for onward communication to the sultan.
He also provided the following mobile phones numbers to be used to report the sighted of the new moon.
